We, that is, you and I, are in a unique situation as citizens of the United States of America. Our Founding Fathers placed special protections guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights that grant trial by jury, Grand Jury Indictment, Due Process, and equal protection under the law just to name a few.
One of the major factors behind our Rights today stem from the King's Laws and how under English Rules one could be held without trial, unlawful searches and seizures along with the total lack of Due Process that placed many American Colonials in prisons for long periods of time. The Ruling Class could move against any person without reprisal as they took their lands, property, and freedoms by imprisonment without trial or evidence. We stand as a Nation of Laws and not Laws of Man like we suffered as subjects under the King of England that was ended by the Revolution. While our Judicial System is not perfect, it is by far the best on this planet! If you feel that you would like to experience what it was like under the Kings Rule of Law then just come to the Town of Quartzsite, Arizona and speak out openly against the Town Government and see just how fast your Rights are violated! Residents of Quartzsite have found themselves facing political criminal prosecutions when they exercised their ''Rights of Free Speech,'' ''Peacefully Redressing their Government,'' and ''Reporting Criminal Activity by Town Employees''! If one observes or has taken part in the Quartzsite Municipal Court or Superior Court of La Paz County it will not take long before you can identify them with the Kangaroo Courts of the Old West where concepts of Justice and Rules of Law are overlooked by the very Judiciary in control of the Court. If it were not for the Bar of Arizona and the Arizona Appellate Court many of the wrongful convicted of Quartzsite and in La Paz County would be un-challenged or overturned.

In the State vs Michael Roth, the Arizona Appellate Court ruled against Judge Burke by finding that not only had Mr. Roth suffered from a false arrest, but added as well, ''there was insufficient evidence for any conviction on the charges and the case should NEVER have gone to trial''!
If this were not enough, under Judge King of the Quartzsite Municipal Court, Defendants are denied lawful discovery, Court Appointed Attorneys NOT being paid, along with the stacking of charges without the right of a Jury Trial that would clear their names at Trial. The records show that when a defendant motions for a change of venue their odds of a fair trial and dismissal greatly improves over being tried in a Kangaroo Court within La Paz County. Justice is never served when any defendant is denied (especially an innocent one) his or her rights to a fair trial by his peers. One only has to look at the denied ''Brady Discovery'' of former Mayor Ed Foster that showed that the Special Prosecutor could clearly see that Mayor Foster had NOT broken any laws in his rebuttal to Chief Jeff Gilbert's attempts to keep the trial going. How much longer are the tax payers, residents, business owners, and visitors going to be made to foot the legal costs of such political prosecutions that end up overturned in our State Appellate Courts? Read the January 3rd letter of Sam Vederman La Paz County Attorney to the F.B.I., Mayor Fosters Public Records Request of March 21st, and QPD Clerk Linda Conley's NCIC/ACJIS Report and you will never need to question how a Kangaroo Court could exist in La Paz County, Arizona.

Was Quartzsite Magistrate Judge Lawrence King in VIOLATION of Court Ethics when he met with Dana Stadler without his Attorney present and told him to go over to the Quartzsite Police Department to get his (stolen?) title for his truck, and/or was this part of the plot to have more charges filed against Mr. Stadler by Judge King and Chief Gilbert?

With Dana Stadler's Arrest (remember, sent over by the Judge to get his title) why would a QPD Officer call Michael Roth to come down to the QPD Station to pick up Mr. Stadler's property, then deny Mr. Roth the right to pick up such property only to make the 2nd False Arrest of the day without any criminal violations on the parts of Mr. Roth or Mr. Stadler? Why impound a vehicle when it isn't evidence at a huge cost to Mr. Stadler?
